In 1994, two chemists working at leather market decided to create a company whose main activity would be to marketing chemical products for the tanneries in Brazil.

TECNPIEL began its journey by selling products from Ciba Geigy, a company founded in the 18th century in Switzerland, whose specialty was producing dyes and auxiliaries for tanning, textile, paper, household and cosmetics industries. Ciba was well known for its high quality standards and high performance products.

In 2002, TECNPIEL began to develop its own product range, always based on the values of the previous partner, by careful choosing renewable raw materials, innovative application systems and services, always focused on the specific needs of each customer.

Today the company celebrates 30 years of history, based on learning, sound chemical knowledge at R&D department, talented team and market trust.
